Product Description

The 'ROPAR' Rotary Gear Pumps is a bi directional positive displacement pump with high volumetric efficiency, over all efficiency and self priming. The pumps come in two piece CI made with self lubricated sintered bronze bush bearing, solid and ground shafts gear offering maintenance free pump with long service profile. The pumps are bi directional with modified inlet & outlet port position. By changing the R.V.parts on opposite side, the relief valve operation can simply be reserved.

Versatile Industrial Applications

Designed for industries such as chemical processing, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, food, dairy, and paint manufacturing, this rotary gear pump is suitable for transferring a variety of viscous liquids. Its compatibility with oil, diesel, and lubricants makes it indispensable for heavy-duty and continuous operations in multiple sectors. With working temperatures up to 200C and discharge pressures up to 10 kg/cm, its industrial versatility is unmatched.

Robust Construction and Performance

Fabricated from high-quality materials including alloy steel, S.S.304, and S.S.316, the pump features hardened and profile-ground gears for longer service life. With self-lubricated or ball bearing options and air-cooled operation, the system is built for continuous and reliable performance. Its body finish optionscast iron, stainless steel, or bronzeensure resilience in demanding environments, while all spares are readily available for minimal downtime.

Efficient and Reliable Operation

With a flow rate of 10 to 500 LPM and positive suction capabilities up to 7 meters, the rotary gear pump provides self-priming and seamless fluid transfer. The pump handles a broad viscosity range and maintains low noise levels, offering uninterrupted operation controlled manually or via automated starters. Energy-efficient and easy to maintain, its a cost-effective solution for both small-scale and large industrial facilities.

FAQs of Rotary Gear Pump:

Q: How does the rotary gear pump handle different viscosities and types of liquids?

A: The rotary gear pump is engineered to handle viscosities up to 100,000 SSU, making it suitable for a wide spectrum of fluids, from light oils to thicker, viscous liquids. Its robust design and hardened gears ensure smooth, consistent flow regardless of fluid type, providing reliable performance for industrial processes.

Q: What materials are used in the construction of this rotary gear pump?

A: The pump is available in body finishes of cast iron, stainless steel, or bronze, with shaft options in alloy steel, S.S.304, or S.S.316. The gears are manufactured from hardened and profile-ground alloy steel, ensuring high durability and compatibility with various fluids and operating environments.

Q: Where is this rotary gear pump typically installed and for which industries?

A: This pump is commonly foot or base plate mounted in facilities serving the chemical, petroleum, food, dairy, pharmaceutical, and paint industries. Its adaptability to different mounting types and connection specifications allows seamless integration into new or existing industrial systems throughout India and globally.

Q: What is the process for maintaining or servicing the rotary gear pump?

A: Routine maintenance includes periodic inspection of bearings, seals, and lubrication systems. With all spares available and easily interchangeable, servicing is straightforward. Utilizing self-lubricated or grease-lubricated bearings and the option for mechanical seals or gland packing simplifies upkeep and minimizes operational downtime.

Q: How beneficial is the rotary gear pump for continuous-duty operations?

A: Designed for continuous operation, the pump utilizes forced or grease lubrication and air cooling to prevent overheating and ensure consistent performance. Low noise levels, high efficiency, and robust construction make it ideal for applications requiring uninterrupted service, reducing operational costs over time.

Q: What environmental standards does this rotary gear pump meet?

A: The pump conforms to ROHS and REACH standards, ensuring it is free from hazardous substances and environmentally responsible. This makes it a safe choice for industries that prioritize sustainability and regulatory compliance in their operations.

Q: When is it recommended to use mechanical seals versus gland packing in this pump?

A: Mechanical seals are recommended for applications requiring superior sealing performance and minimal leakage, especially with hazardous or volatile fluids. Gland packing may be suitable for less demanding environments or where ease of maintenance is prioritized. The pumps flexibility allows users to select the appropriate sealing method for their process needs.
